Western State Bank recently challenged students in surrounding communities to compete in our first ever Coin Challenge.
Per the Challenge, participating schools competed against other schools in their area to raise the highest amount of money in coins.
All schools exchanged their coins at Western State Bank, and kept 100% of the funds raised.
WSB also agreed to award winning schools in each area with a match of up to $300, and a donut party for the winning grade level in each school.
Winners are as follows:
- Garden City: St. Dominic Elementary. Total Coins Collected: $2,505.83
- Colby: Colby Grade School. Total Coins Collected: $1,699.42
- Goodland: North Elementary. Total coins collected: $1,664.99.
Thanks to the efforts of students in each of these communities, more than $13,000 went back to western Kansas schools.
